Using Craps Systems to Benefit Your Game

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

If you’ve been playing craps for any length of time you’ll know that using a strategy doesn’t allow you to achieve any favors in terms of the established house edge. This edge is determined by particular gambling venues in terms of winning payouts depending on wagers played and therefore cannot be affected by craps strategy systems. However, what you are able to do is to benefit from probability fluctuations which appear periodically in games, allowing you to take maximum rewards from short term favorable odds.

Short Term Vs. Long Term Probabilities

Whilst probabilities essentially remain the same throughout gambling sessions, with pre and post session results having no affect on the probability itself, you can note fluctuations within each and every game. In craps, the probability of rolling a seven is six to one based on millions and billions of games. However, you can never guarantee that a seven will be noted on every six rolls, and in the short term you could note several sevens rolled consecutively, or see none at all for many turns.

Craps Opposite Points

One of the ways in which you can use short term probability fluctuations to your advantage is to use the opposite points betting system. If you look closely at a craps dice you’ll notice that numbers on either side of the die are combination opposites, with a number six always having an opposite of eight. This means that if a six combination is formed of two dice with a five and one, you are guaranteed that the opposite combination will be a six and two. Meanwhile, a five combination has an opposite of nine, whilst four has an opposite of ten.

Placing Your Wagers

For a combination of four and ten you’ll receive $9 if you placed an original $5 wager. If you lose you’ve only lost $5, but upon a win of $9 press your wager and if you win on the second hit you’ll receive $18. And with four to ten combinations you’ll receive $25 if you ask the dealer to buy your bet at this time. The system, as with many, is still down to the luck of the roll, but allows you maximize your winnings if a favorable short term fluctuation comes up. And though craps probability won’t change, you can make you winnings far more lucrative.

Benefits of Playing Craps Online

Monday, November 7th, 2011

Craps is a very popular table game which is played around the world by millions of people. Before the age of the internet it was confined to casinos and gambling venues, but with the digital age, craps has been able to move online. There are many advantages of playing online, and you can take these to benefit both your enjoyment and profits of the craps game.

Playing at Your Own Leisure

One of the huge bonuses of online craps is that you can play at your own leisure. You don’t need to set aside time to go to a casino, and are not limited by times which an establishment might be open. With the power of the internet you can simply sit down at your computer, still in your pajamas if you wish, and log onto the virtual world of online gambling at any time of day or night. In addition, if you’re trying to multitask you can come and go as you please, attending to other household chores or needs instead of being confined to a casino environment, where all you can indulge in is the services that the venue provides.

Craps at All Experience Levels

Another important benefit of playing online craps, and one that shouldn’t be brushed aside, is the ability to be able to play at your own speed and experience level. All too often if you’re at a real casino you’ll find yourself seated alongside players with a vast range of experience and skill. At home you can use online tutorials and free games to better yourself without the need to pay out real money, and you’ll also be able to check betting rules and regulations as you play.

Minimal Pressures

Online casinos also offer you a great environment to play craps with minimal pressure from other players and friends. When you play craps in a real casino there is often pressure to keep playing, even if you’ve reached your bankroll limit for a game. However, at home, when you’ve reached your limit you can simply log off rather than getting caught up in peer pressure to make ‘just one more bet’.

There are a large number of benefits to playing craps online, whether it’s reducing pressure or offering you unlimited access to game play. And by playing at home you’ll be relaxed enough to allow your craps career to grow in the right direction.

Craps Come Out Roll Importance

Friday, November 4th, 2011

The popular game of craps is a great experience if you like wagering on a game where you can’t affect the probability and are purely chancing your luck. Wagering against the outcome of dice rolls can be exhilarating, especially if you’re enjoying a lucky run. If you’re playing for a series of rolls and want to keep growing your possible payout with each turn, the come out roll is very important. And you should never underestimate this first roll of the dice.

Come Out Roll and Wager Placing

Most bets are placed after the first dice roll as it indicates which numbers will be needed to gain winning wagers. Before the initial dice is thrown, bets can still be made on the pass line, but there is no indication of where the craps game might lead, resulting in many people waiting until the first outcome is known.

Come Out Roll Possibilities

After the come out roll is played with two dice there are a number of possibilities. Totals of two, three and twelve signal a loss for the pass line bet and are known as ‘craps’, a result which ends the round. Meanwhile, a seven and an eleven will win the pass line bet, and also end the round. All other totals become a point number which must be re-rolled by the dice thrower before a seven is noted. If a seven is thrown before the point number is seen again, the round ends with the pass line wager losing.

Come Out Roll Rules and Etiquette

There a range of specific rules and etiquette for the come out roll, with the gambler rolling the dice known as the shooter. Each round in a game is rolled by the same shooter until they either win or lose their wager. Meanwhile, in a real casino environment, it is very important that shooters only handle dice with one hand. In addition, upon dice rolling off the table they cannot be used until casino staff have inspected them. However, in an online environment there is no need for such concerns due them being virtual. And with your focus not on dice handling practices, you can ensure that you pay important attention to the come out roll so that you can place your wagers effectively for positive results.

Microgaming Craps Options

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Online gaming industry leader, Microgaming, is well-known for developing highly customizable software. One example of the many customization options found in their software is Microgaming Craps. Some of the features are useful while others are not. Therefore, it is important to learn how to utilize these customized functions to maximize your winnings.

There are two customizable options available in the craps game including:

  • Sound settings
  • Bet settings

Within the sound settings selection, there are four options; game sounds, background sounds, advanced sounds and win sounds. The software allows players to enable or disable each option. New players should experiment with different sound combinations to make the gambling experience more enjoyable.

The game sounds are the shaking and rolling of dice, the background sound contains light chatter and background music; the advanced sounds are commentary on the current game situation and the win sounds which are better suited for online slot games. Players that wish to gamble in silence can simply click the “switch off all sounds” option.

The bet settings menu allows the player to toggle specific bets during a come out roll. These bets include, Hardways, Buy, Place, Come and Big 6 and Big 8. The advantage of this feature is each bet can be addressed individually given the player much more control than at other casinos.

For example, if a player is betting on a Hardway Eight and the point is a six, then if the six is rolled ending the round, the Hardway Eight continues to stand because no decision has been made. If the next round begins with a come out roll, bets are conventionally turned off or not aloud. This is signified by a marker labeled “OFF.” Therefore, the outcome of the roll will, once again, have no effect on the Hardway Eight bet.

Although these options do not make a significant difference in gameplay, they give the player much more control over the virtual environment. This results in a comfortable setting for placing quality bets and can, in turn, become profitable. Most online and all land-based competitors (especially in a busy, noisy casino) do not provide any of these options.

The games Microgaming develops add a little extra advantage to the player. In this instance, these options can make a difference on the mood of the player at the table. Customization of any type of gaming software in favor of the player is always a great feature.

A Comparison of Craps between gaming Software Suppliers

Monday, August 9th, 2010

The exciting game of craps has expanded to almost all online gaming software. Unfortunately with so many choices, players must decide the casino in which they will maximize their earnings by paying the least back to the house due to the edge.

There are two important factors to determine the best online casinos to play craps including:

  • The payouts
  • Minimum and maximum wagers permitted

The Payouts

Payouts are obviously the most important factor to decide the best online casino to play craps. Given the number of different bets to the amount of payout is a difficult task to constantly be calculating. Fortunately knowing which bets offer a high house edge and which do not will help you maximize profits and minimize losses. Since the player should not be placing wagers on these high house edge bets, no calculations should be determined.

The most important wagers to place in craps are pass line bets, come bets, place bets, big 6/8 bets, buy bets and field bets. Most online casinos offer the same payout for pass line bets, come bets and place bets since these are commonly the most placed bets. The difference lies with the big 6/8 bets, buy bets and field bets. The most beneficial method to find the top payouts are to narrow down all bets to one and compare the payouts based on these.

Minimum and Maximum Wagers

These are extremely important especially for new players and low rollers as they tend to search for the lowest minimum wagers due to the size of their bankroll. On the other hand, high rollers look for the maximum wager due to the largest absolute payouts.

Based on these primary factors, a new or veteran player should have no problem finding a casino that offers a balance between the two. You want the most possible payouts based on the types of bets placed, but need to have the low minimum and high maximum wagers depending on your level.

Online craps can be a fun game to play. While there are thousands of online players, remember you’re against the house. You want to give yourself the opportunity to minimize the house edge so you can maximize your earnings. Compare casinos to find those that offer the lowest house edge on specific bets with excellent payouts and a respectable minimum and maximum wager.

An Online Glossary of Craps Bets

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

The action and the objective of online craps are both pretty straightforward. A shooter tosses a pair of dice down the length of a table – that’s the action. The players surrounding the table predict the result of each roll or alternately of each round by betting on them – that’s the objective. As they say, the devil is in the details, and when it comes to mastering craps those details are the bets.

For such a simple game, craps offers a surprisingly large selection of bets. These bets fall into three basic categories: line bets, single-roll bets and multi-roll bets. Line bets are those bets that revolve around the come out roll and point. Single-roll bets, as their name implies, are bets made on the outcome of a single roll of the dice. Multi-roll bets are more complex bets made on certain “either/or” possibilities.

Single-roll bets are as straightforward as the rest of the game – basically at any time during a round a player other than the shooter may wager on the end value of the next roll. Though they are the most common bets in the game, line bets are the ones that tend to trip new players up. All shooters are limited to line bets, so if you’re planning to control the dice at any time in your craps career these bets are especially worth learning. Here’s a basic rundown of each.

Pass Line Bet

A pass line bettor wins instantly if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 in the come out roll. Alternately, they lose instantly if the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12. A roll that results in any other value (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10) sets the point. To win now, a pass line bettor must hope that the shooter will roll the point again before rolling a 7.

Don’t Pass Line Bet

A don’t pass line bet is the exact opposite of the pass line bet. This bet wins instantly if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3 in the come out roll, pushes on a 12, and loses instantly if 7 or 11 is rolled. If a point is set, then a don’t pass bet pays if the shooter rolls a 7 before rolling the point again.

Come Bet

The come bet is identical to the pass line bet except it starts on the second roll instead of the come out roll.

Don’t Come Bet

The don’t come bet is the opposite of the come bet in the same way that the don’t pass bet is the opposite of the pass bet. It follows all the same rules as the don’t pass bet above, but those rules are not in place until the second roll of a round.
