Founder of leading internet poker site Pokerlistings.com, it has been reported that the body of 36-year old Oscarsson was discovered on Monday morning August 3. The well respected business man was found lying deceased in his bed and a gunshot wound to the head is the apparent cause of death.
According to comments published on the Pokerlistings.com website, Oscarsson left behind the operational aspect of the business a little over two years ago, shortly after giving birth to his son. The website reported that Andreas had migrated to an advisory role within the company, using his vast experience to provide guidance for the existing team when needed.
Andreas has been described as a source of great inspiration to colleague in the business environment and a kind and loving person to those closest to him. Many involved in the online gambling world are calling him one of the industry’s true pioneers as his initial goals were to create a global leading online casino operation. A resident of New York in the United States, it is believed that Oscarrson was scheduled to leave Sweden the day after he was killed. His wife has reportedly left her home in the states to fly to Sweden while the investigation proceeds.
